Salary and Benefits
Salary Range: $27,362 for BA/BS with two years experience –to-
$35,529.00 for an MA with 8 years experience
Retirement: eleven percent of salary paid at the end of the year
Visa: payment of all expenses relative to obtaining a visa for Syria
Shipping Allowance: 500 lbs. air freight per employee (200 lbs per dependent) for the initial move to Damascus .
Transportation: each employee and qualified dependents to and from Damascus yearly.
Settling-In Allowance: $2,000.00 per employee.
Single teachers, couples and families each receive their own furnished apartment. Electricity, water and cooking gas are fully paid by the school. The teacher is responsible for phone, cable TV and internet hookup, if desired. All apartments are within walking distance of the school.
Worldwide Medical Insurance, currently Aetna
Annual Professional Development: Up to $1000 is available for approved
activities supporting school goals.

Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS Degree in area of concentration
- Current teacher certification for the teaching position
- English Fluency
- References (one must be from your immediate, current supervisor and
contain current contact information)
